Before Your Appointment
No referral needed: In Ontario, you can book directly with a chiropodist without a doctor's referral.
What to bring: Your health insurance card (if applicable), a list of medications, any relevant medical history, and the shoes you wear most often — your chiropodist may want to assess them.
Booking: You can book online or call (647) 689-7533. We offer same-day appointments when available.
What Happens During Your Visit
Check-in: You will be welcomed by our team and asked to fill out a brief health history form if you have not already done so online.
Discussion: Your chiropodist will ask about your symptoms, when they started, what makes them better or worse, and your medical history. This is your opportunity to ask any questions.
Examination: A thorough examination of your feet, ankles, and lower limbs. This may include checking skin and nail health, joint mobility, sensation (for diabetic patients), and circulation.
Gait and Biomechanical Assessment
If relevant to your concern, your chiropodist may analyze how you walk and stand. This helps identify biomechanical issues that could be contributing to your foot pain.
This information is especially useful when determining if custom orthotics or shockwave therapy would benefit you.
Treatment
In many cases, treatment begins at the same appointment. For example:
• Corn and callus removal — immediate relief • Ingrown toenail care — conservative or minor surgical treatment • Nail care — trimming and treating thick or problematic nails • Heel pain assessment — diagnosis and initial management plan
Your chiropodist will explain every step before proceeding and will never perform treatment without your consent.
After Your Visit
You will leave with a clear understanding of your condition and a plan for next steps. This may include home care instructions, footwear advice, follow-up appointments, or a referral for imaging if needed.
We offer evening appointments Monday through Friday and Saturday hours for your convenience. Our clinic at 2389 Major MacKenzie Dr W, Unit 303 in Vaughan is easily accessible from Maple, Woodbridge, Thornhill, and surrounding communities.
